Cynthia Patton ’83

Cynthia Patton, JD, joined Tessera Therapeutics in 2022 as its General Counsel and Secretary. Previously, she served as General Counsel at Verily Life Sciences. Prior to Verily, she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at Amgen, where she was responsible for Amgen’s global privacy and compliance organization. She also served as chair of the Amgen Foundation.

Prior to Amgen, Cynthia served as general counsel of SCAN Health Plan, a California Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), and as an attorney at several law firms. Cynthia received her JD from George Washington University and her bachelor’s degree from Vassar College, and is admitted to the State Bars of California, Georgia, and the District of Columbia.
