In conjunction with a Poughkeepsie nonprofit, Vassar faculty, administrators, and students are helping to shed light on the contributions of enslaved Africans and their descendants to the growth and prosperity of the Hudson Valley.

Because the weather loves us so much, we expect another snowstorm in the Hudson Valley that could bring an additional 2-4 inches of snow tomorrow (sigh)! Our plan, right now, is to move forward with our scheduled move-ins and testing. If you would like to reschedule, please feel free to change your move-in date to Monday, February 8th.

Vassar College has extended its policy waiving its admission requirement that applicants submit SAT or ACT test scores, President Elizabeth Bradley announced. The pilot policy went into effect for the 2020-21 admission cycle and will continue for the 2021-22 and 2022-23 cycles.

As you prepare to return to campus, we have been busy strategizing to make sure your arrival experience goes as smoothly as possible. Vassar has instituted a number of changes to our testing and symptom reporting processes, both in response to state regulations and to the constructive and essential feedback we received from students in the fall (Thank you!!).
