Google Docs
You can create the following files from Vassar designed Templates:
- Google Doc
- Google Sheet
- Google Slide
Important Note: Vassar templates are only available when you are logged in with a Vassar Google Apps for Education email account (your Vassar email account).
Navigating to Google Drive
Before creating a Doc, Sheet, or Slide, you must first go into Google Drive.
- Log into your Vassar email account on Google (Gmail)
- Click the “Google apps” icon in the top right of the screen and select “Drive.”
Creating a Google Doc from a template
- Click the “+ New” button in the top left of the screen.
- In the pop-up window, select the file type (Doc, Sheet, or Slide) you want to create and click the arrow to the right. Click/choose “From a template.”
- This will open a new window with the available Vassar templates (Template Gallery). Select the template you want to use and start editing.
Notice: There are two options at the top of the screen; one for “Vassar Google Apps for Education” and one for “General.” General are the default templates supplied by Google.
