A Message from the Community Works Committee

November 3, 2022

Dear Vassar Community Members,

The Community Works organizing committee is excited to announce the beginning of our 22nd annual Community Works fundraising campaign!

This year we have established a goal of raising $87,500. We once again ask for your generosity to support a small group of dedicated non-profit organizations that provide crucial services in Poughkeepsie and greater Dutchess County.

Please support the ten local non-profit organizations selected based upon the nominations of fellow employees. These agencies have demonstrated their ability to address important community needs such as domestic violence, food insecurity, LGBTQ+ community building, mental health, immigration resources, and youth development. For more information on the grant recipients, please see the list below (attached) or visit our website at communityworks.vassar.edu.

Each organization receives an equal share of the Community Works funds raised. One hundred percent of the contributions go directly to the agencies as Vassar assumes all the administrative costs of the campaign. Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution via payroll deduction, credit/debit card, Paypal, or check. Please visit our website https://www.vassar.edu/communityworks/contributions/ to make a contribution. Credit/debit card, Paypal, and payroll deductions will be made through the website. For a check contribution, please complete the form on the website and submit the check to Community Works, Vassar College, 124 Raymond Ave., Box 43, Poughkeepsie, NY 12604.

For payroll deductions, please submit your pledge form by December 20th. All contributions are important no matter the amount.

Sincerely,

The Community Works Committee
