Sad News: Tracy Picard
March 6, 2026
Dear all,
I am writing with sad news. Tracy Picard, who had worked at Vassar until last year, has passed away. She had a 36-year career at Vassar, first in the Post Office, then Admissions, and last Facilities Operations. In each role and over decades, Tracy touched our community with warmth, her infectious laughter, and her generosity.
We are deeply grateful for the gift of Tracy’s time with us. She is survived by her husband, her mother, and her two brothers, as well as an uncle, nieces, nephews, and many cousins. She treasured her family, and her Vassar community.
A celebration of Tracy’s life will be held on Saturday, April 25 at 11:00 am at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Salt Point, New York. Her obituary is here. Donations may be made in Tracy’s name to the Glioblastoma Foundation at GlioblastomaFoundation.org.
Please join me in expressing our deepest sympathy to Tracy’s beloved friends, family, and colleagues.
In sadness,
Elizabeth H. Bradley, President
