Rose B. Simpson Sculpture

Dear all,

Over the week ahead, you may notice work being done near the Bennett Gate on the way to Arlington. This is a permanent installation of a sculpture by Rose B. Simpson, entitled “Seed.” The sculpture includes seven 18-foot-tall figures surrounding a bronze female form; you may read more about this work of art here. The piece was first displayed at Madison Square Park in New York City.

Although the piece will be placed this month, we will have an opening event with the artist in the spring for its formal installation on campus.
