Election Day

November 3, 2025

Dear all,

As you may know, Election Day is tomorrow. It is a tremendous honor and privilege to be able to vote, and I hope everyone who is registered turns out.

If you are registered to vote in The Town of Poughkeepsie, you may vote in the Aula between the hours of 6 a.m. and 9 p.m.

This year any resident in the Town of Poughkeepsie may use any polling site in the town. This is a change as previously voters would go to a specific site by election district. As a result, faculty and staff from any area of Town may now vote at the Aula site.

As a student voter, you may vote with your home address OR your campus address. Vassar Votes, a non-partisan initiative of The Office of Community-Engaged Learning, empowers Vassar students in the democratic process. Vassar Votes shares civic engagement resources on their Instagram account or on their website. Visit the Dutchess County Board of Elections website to learn more about voting in Dutchess County.

The polling site rule is that people may not do electioneering within one hundred feet of the polling place entrance—meaning no banners, buttons, posters or other material can be displayed within that distance of the Aula or any polling site.

See you at the polls!
