COVID-19 Updates

March 7, 2022

Dear all,

I am writing with an update to our campus masking policy. During the Spring Break period (starting today until Monday, March 21st), our campus will be mask-optional for all employees, including faculty, and students. We are loosening our masking guidelines during this period because there are significantly fewer people on campus and I have heard from many that being mask-optional during Spring Break would be a significant morale booster.

When we resume classes on Monday, March 21st, our previous masking guidelines will go back into effect as we wait for the results of the COVID-19 tests that students will take 3-5 days after arriving back to campus. We will re-evaluate our masking guidelines once we receive the results of those tests.

As always, our goal is to keep the campus safe for everyone--including individuals who are not vaccinated or immunocompromised. Of course, we all can choose to wear a mask whenever and wherever we would like. KN95 masks are available at the ROC for students and for employees please contact Facilities Operations here

Thanks and enjoy Spring Break,
