A Message From EPI and the President

Dear Colleagues,

In times of fear and uncertainty, we could all use a dose of hope. Last week, we left activity bags for employees and students who were working or living on campus. For week two, the Engaged Pluralism Initiative is launching a community rock and sidewalk art project.

We encourage those among us who are on campus to express love, gratitude, and hope with one another, by painting a rock and placing it somewhere on campus for others to see. Or, use some sidewalk chalk to share a drawing or positive message. Rocks, painting supplies, and chalk can be picked up from Gordon Commons starting today, at 5pm. You can also find your own small rocks around campus to paint. We would love to see your creations, so we invite you to take a picture and send it to epi@vassar.edu

Hopefully, the art and messages that are created will serve as reminders that even though we may not be gathering physically, we are still with each other in spirit and community. If you have any questions let us know, and if you are able to participate, we can't wait to see what you share!

With love and gratitude,

The EPI Team: Candice Lowe Swift, Cecilia Hoang, Henry Molina, & Primavera Ward
