Passing of a Colleague: Kelly Del Santo

Dear all,

I am writing today to share the sad news that Kelly Del Santo passed away Wednesday morning after a long illness. Kelly was a member of the Vassar family for 24 years, working as an administrative assistant in the office of Counseling Services. Her passing reminds us all how precious life is.

Kelly was born in Poughkeepsie, and was a graduate of Roy C. Ketcham High School who went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Plattsburg. As many of you probably know, Kelly enjoyed cross stitching and loved animals especially her two beloved dogs.

She is survived by her husband, Eric Del Santo; son, Brian Del Santo; mother, Doris Niles; and her sister, Leslie and her husband Thomas Jackson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 13 from 3 pm to 8 pm at Parmele, Auchmoody & Schoonmaker Funeral Home, 110 Fulton Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 14, at 10 am at St. Martin de Porres, 118 Cedar Valley Rd., Poughkeepsie NY. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, 171 Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie, NY.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Mount Alvernia Retreat Center 158 Delavergne Avenue, Wappingers Falls, NY.

Please join me in keeping Kelly and her family in your thoughts.
