Trevor Hyde, Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Statistics, received an AMS-Simons Research Enhancement Grant for Primarily Undergraduate Institute (PUI) Faculty grant award.

Trevor’s research focus is arithmetic dynamics—the interface between numbers and chaos—and proceeds along two fronts: the study of profinite iterated monodromy groups and dynamically exceptional configurations.

He conducts research in collaboration with colleagues and students worldwide. This grant funding will help Trevor take several important trips over the next three years, as well as expand his undergraduate research experiences for students here at Vassar.
