See Memory Screening & Discussion

Feb. 29, 2024, 5:30–6:30 p.m.
Location:

Rosenwald Film Theater (Room #109), Vogelstein Center for Drama and Film

The Film Department—with support from Psychological Sciences, Media Studies, and Neuroscience and Behavior—hosts an exclusive screening and discussion of See Memory. Created by filmmaker and artist Viviane Silvera, the film comprises 30,000 hand-painted stills and features narration based on interviews with renowned neuroscientists and psychiatrists, including Nobel Laureate Eric Kandel. See Memory explores revelatory scientific research through a unifying artistic lens and empowers viewers to shape their own futures rather than remaining bound by their pasts. The filmmaker will discuss her work following the screening with Profs. Hadley Bergstrom, Chithra Jeyaram, and Dara Greenwood.
