Imploding Meaning: Tale-less Tales About Absolutely Nothing and Everything In Between

Jan. 19 – Mar. 1, 2023
Location:

The Palmer Gallery, College Center

Jan 26, Opening Reception, 5–7 p.m.
Jan 27, Gallery Talk, noon–1 p.m.

M. Pettee Olsen, Michael Oatman, and Rosanne Walsh, together with curator Monica Church, having met at art school years ago, revisit each other through their work in Vassar’s Palmer Gallery. Though each artist’s approach is different, a through-line in their work is an embodied open-ness to interpretation, evoking experience and invoking a call to simply behold the work and the world.

“Consider the wordless story; with no beginning, middle, or end…”  —a Zen koan for our times.
