Vassar’s Community Fellows program enables students to earn a stipend provided by the college while they work for local nonprofit agencies in the Poughkeepsie area.

Through Somos Vecinos, Vassar students interview local immigrants about their lives, creating an oral history archive that brings the complexities of migration into the classroom while forging unexpected connections across the Poughkeepsie community.
