Middle States Accreditation Self-Study
Vassar College is preparing for its 2027–28 Middle States reaccreditation cycle, an opportunity to examine institutional effectiveness, demonstrate compliance with accreditation standards, and engage the campus community in thoughtful evaluation and planning. The process will culminate in a comprehensive self-study report and a Spring 2028 evaluation team visit from our accrediting agency, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
Where Are We Now?
Vassar is currently in Phase 1: Design and Launch. The self-study design document was submitted to Middle States in January 2026, and working groups have been established across campus. The preparatory visit is scheduled for Spring 2026.
