VRDT Rehearses Balanchine & Limón for Spring Concert

Dancers rehearsing in a studio, with one dancer extending in a supported pose while others practice movements in the background.

VRDT dancers performed works by two iconic choreographers, Episodes by George Balanchine and A Choreographic Offering by José Limón. Both the George Balanchine Trust and the José Limón Foundation recognize the caliber of VRDT's dancers and approved licensing these important works, which are performed by professional companies world-wide. A Choreographic Offering is a luminous tribute to musicality, form, and the expressive power of ensemble movement. With Episodes, Balanchine reveals a spare yet graceful vision of ballet, where precise form and choreographic structure make visible the polyphonic, fugal structure of the music.
