Vassar has secured funding from the Watertown Committee of the the David, Helen and Marian Woodward Fund in support of the Woodward Fund Veterans Internships. The fifth round of the Woodward Fund Veterans Internship Awards enabled four Vassar veterans to participate in internships during the summer months of 2021 and 2022. Past internships have included a consulting internship for Deloitte, a field organizer internship for Michelle Hinchey’s NY State Senate 41st re-election campaign, a land management internship with the Mohonk Preserve, and a communications and fundraising internship with Hudson River Housing.

In April of 2022 Vassar launched the Vassar Veterans Initiative (VassarVets). VassarVets is designed to expand Vassar’s outreach to U.S. military servicemembers and veterans. Through VassarVets, we support veteran students’ success at Vassar by providing assistance navigating the admission process, specialized advising, and opportunities to build community on campus.
