Vassar College’s 162nd Commencement Ceremony will feature an address by Noah Baumbach ’91. Reception immediately to follow on the Chapel Lawn.

Emily Nomer finds aesthetic company in the Pattern & Decoration artists of the 1970’s, amongst others. Most of the works are painted in acrylic, and geometry, repetition, and pattern are the basis of most compositions. Balance and proportion remain her guiding principles.

A talk by Anita Varma ’08 based on her 2026 Columbia University Press book Solidarity in Journalism, about journalism and social justice. The talk will explore how conventional journalistic norms discourage reporters from taking sides; journalists are supposed to remain neutral, impartial, and objective.
