Join us on the Vassar Alumnae Lawn on October 15 for the Vassar Vintage Bicycle Show! Hosted in conjunction with the Arlington Farmers Market, this free, interactive community event brings together students, faculty, staff, and Hudson Valley residents to celebrate sustainability, functional reuse, and local cycling history.

Whether you are a lifelong collector or ride a trusty retro commuter, bring your pre-2001 bicycle to display and share with fellow cycling enthusiasts.

Event Highlights

• Vintage Bike Exhibition and Contests: Show off your active classic rides! Browse community displays and vote for your favorites. Awards will be handed out across several categories.
• Interactive Services: Stop by to get a portrait taken with your bicycle. Need a quick fix? Visit our hands-on repair and tune-up station, co-hosted by regional cycling partners, where experienced mechanics will help you keep your bike running smoothly.
• Community and Advocacy Tabling: Connect with local organizations dedicated to growing bicycle infrastructure and culture across the Hudson Valley. Speak with representatives from BikePoughkeepsie/SPOKE, Mid Hudson Bicycle Club, Destination Dutchess, and Dutchess County Planning, as well as area bike shops, to discover local routes, safety resources, and regional transportation initiatives.

Whether you’re showing off a vintage road bike, hunting for maintenance tips, or looking to connect with local cycling groups, there is something for everyone. Come for the bikes, stay for the market, and help us celebrate sustainable transportation in Poughkeepsie!
