Album Release Concert Gathering with Rabbi Deborah Sacks Mintz
Free and open to the public. Registration required.
This February, Rabbi Deborah Sacks Mintz releases her third album of spiritual music with Rising Song Records—a collection of songs designed for communal uplift, spiritual sustenance, and reverent joy. Titled Songs From The Beit Midrash, the album is inspired by the relational nature of the house of study and the wealth of Torah housed within. To bring this vision to life, Hadar transformed its NYC Yeshiva into a recording studio, capturing creative expression as it emerged from a living, breathing space of Torah (study), Avodah (service), and Hesed (kindness).
Anchored by an ensemble of musicians from the folk, jazz, and world music scenes and supported by a community nigun circle, Deborah brings eleven new melodies rooted in Jewish liturgy to life. Featuring a fresh sonic palette of lush strings, electric instrumentals, and vibrant harmonies, the album invites the listener into a soundscape of prayerful intention.
Join Deborah and her ensemble to celebrate this release—delving into the melodies, unpacking the texts, and exploring the communal possibilities embedded within.
