If you’ve been carrying a lot—work, family, the world—consider this your invitation to pause. Join the Jeh Vincent Johnson ALANA Cultural Center and Affinity Engagement for a two-day gathering centered on well-being, intentional community, and the vital role of the ALANA Cultural Center on April 10 and 11.

Your Weekend Experience

You’ll experience activities designed to nourish your mind and body

  • ALANA Center Tours & Memory Wall: Explore the Center’s history and leave a personal mark on its Memory Wall.
  • Restorative Yoga & Joyful Movement: Begin the weekend grounded and energized through yoga and dance.
  • Welcome Reception: Connect with alums and students while enjoying a creative poetry and performance Slam Jam, and healthy refreshments.
  • Meditative Sound: Ben Brown offers sound bath meditation for stress reduction and mindfulness.
  • Featured Workshop with Dr. Natalie Nixon ’91: Discover the Move. Think. Rest. (MTR) approach to enhancing your personal and professional well-being.
  • ALANA Block Party: Celebrate community and enjoy time with students and community partners.
  • Herbal Infusions Workshop: Learn to craft your own herbal tea blend with Antonia Estela Pérez of Herban Cura and leave with a custom creation to enjoy at home.
