The OCEL Community Fellows Symposium

Location:

Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center

The Office of Community-Engaged Learning (OCEL) Community Fellows Symposium is a gathering that celebrates and uplifts the collaborative work of our Community Fellows and their partner organizations. Rooted in a shared commitment to the Poughkeepsie community, the Symposium highlights how applied pedagogy, intergenerational learning, and reciprocity strengthen connections between campus and community. A central part of the fellowship experience is learning alongside community leaders, who serve as mentors and guides as students engage in meaningful projects. During the event, students will share insights from their work, emphasizing how their contributions supported and advanced the missions of their partner organizations. The Symposium is both a celebration and a demonstration of the power of partnership, care, and collective action in creating positive change.
