Battery Dance Performance

Location:

Francis Daly Fergusson Dance Theater, Kenyon Hall

Battery Dance, celebrating its 50th anniversary, performs a new dance by Rosalind Newman, created during their March 2026 residency at Vassar College. Ms. Newman, an internationally-acclaimed choreographer, investigates the passage of time, looking at the past and imagining the future. Joining the program is “while you’re here,” an intimate and playful duet by Faizah Grootens, performed during the 2025 annual Battery Dance Festival in NYC.

This program is made possible by Vassar College and the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations, contact the Office of Campus Activities at 845-437-5370.

Sponsored by the Dance Department.

This event is free and open to the public.
