Ericka Hart on Intersectionality

Learn about the ways in which interlocking systems of oppression impact the lives of individuals navigating them. Engage in discourse and an interactive speaking seminar during which you will better understand how to critically analyze how structures and institutions perpetuate mass marginalization under global capitalism.

Ericka Hart (she/they) is a well-known social media educator, whose work focuses on racial, social, gender, and disability justice education, sex education, and navigating systems of oppression. Ericka is a Black, queer, femme activist who uses her platform to enrich the public’s knowledge on difficult subjects and calls on her many intersecting identities to speak at colleges and universities across the country. Additionally, Ericka’s work has been featured in Buzzfeed, the Washington Post, Allure, Huffington Post, BBC News, Cosmopolitan, LA Weekly, Vanity Fair, W Magazine, Glamour, Elle, Essence, Fader, Refinery 29, and is the face of three running PSAs on the television channel VICELAND.
