Dec. 7, 2022, 6:00 p.m.
Location:

Spitzer Auditorium, Sanders Classroom

The Vassar English Department, in celebration of Professor Paul Kane’s long service and interests, presents a lecture by Mark S. Cladis of Brown University. Professor Cladis will discuss images of prophetic ruin in Wordsworth that lead us to consider ruins as sites of pain and injustice but also of liberatory hope and renovation.

Mark S. Cladis is Brooke Russell Astor Professor of Humanities and Professor of Religious Studies at Brown University.
