SanSan Kwan, Love Dances: Loss and Mourning in Intercultural Collaboration

A lecture based on Kwan’s new book, Love Dances: Loss and Mourning in Intercultural Collaboration, which explores intercultural duets between artists of different backgrounds, with particular attention to “East”-“West” collaborations. Kwan revisits the area of interculturalism by looking at duet form, draws on personal experience, and analyzes emotion.
SanSan Kwan is Associate Professor and Department Chair of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies at UC Berkeley.
