Join Vassar alums for a students-only watch party for a virtual conversation with Karin Tanabe ’02 about her book The Gilded Years, the story of Anita Hemmings—the first African American student at Vassar. Moderated by Paula Williams Madison ’74, we will discuss the legacy, and social and racial reckoning, of Anita’s story—both in her time and in ours.

Snacks provided. Advance registration is strongly encouraged to ensure we have enough.
