Bagel World Café Coming to Arlington This Summer

Bagel World, a café offering a wide variety of bagels, sandwiches, and other light fare, is coming to the Arlington section of Poughkeepsie in August, company spokesperson Gina Haboukh announced.

Bagel World has been serving customers in Dutchess and Orange counties for more than 20 years, but this is the first café to open in the Town of Poughkeepsie. It will be located at 49 Raymond Avenue, just a block from the Vassar College campus. In addition to its usual fare of bagels, a variety of cream cheeses, wraps and salads, the café will offer an expanded menu of vegan and gluten-free options, Haboukh said. The café will offer online ordering for pickup or delivery.

Wesley Dixon, Special Assistant to College President Elizabeth H. Bradley, said the café would provide attractive dining options for Vassar students and staff as well as others in the community. “It’s a pleasure to be welcoming Bagel World to the neighborhood,” Dixon said.  “Many of us in the Vassar community will certainly be taking advantage of this new dining resource.”

Vassar College is a coeducational, independent, residential liberal arts college founded in 1861.
