Women’s Rugby

The United States Coast Guard Academy edged Vassar, 29-24, in the semifinals of the National Collegiate Rugby tournament on December 6 in Houston, TX. Sophia Bailey ’26, Rosie Perkinson ’28, Nadya LaMarr ’27, and Leah Dourmashkin ’27 scored tries for the Brewers. LaMarr kicked two conversions.

The Brewers defeated SUNY Binghamton, 77-0, in the NCR consolation game on December 7. Bailey scored four tries, and Perkinson scored twice.

Vassar defeated Coastal Carolina University, 66-0, on November 16 at Vassar Farm to advance to the semifinals of the tournament.

Women’s Cross Country

Haley Schoenegge ’27

Haley Schoenegge ’27 earned First Team All-American honors for the second straight year, pacing Vassar to a best-ever, 10th-place finish at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships. The race took place on November 22 in Spartanburg, SC. Schoenegge finished 15th overall in the 290-runner field with a time of 21:27.6 in the 6k race. Anika Mueller Hickler ’26 finished 95th, and Chloe Bibula ’28 was 97th.

Men’s Cross Country

Sean Miller ’27

Sean Miller ’27 raced to the best finish by a Vassar runner since 2006 in the NCAA Division III Championships on November 22 in Spartanburg, SC. Miller finished 56th in a field of 291 runners.

Women’s Soccer

Ava Holman ’29

Vassar won its first Liberty League Championship in school history, defeating Rochester Institute of Technology, 1-0. Ava Holman ’29 scored the lone goal of the match late in the first half. The match was played on Gordon Field on November 9.

The Brewers fell to Mary Washington University, 1-0, in the first round of the NCAA Division III Championships on November 15 on the Williams College campus in Williamstown, MA.

Field Hockey

Sofia Beseth ’26

Vassar won its first Liberty League title since 2021, defeating Union College, 4-2, in the finals of the league playoffs on November 9 on Weinberg Turf Field. Karina Hoffman ’27, Sydney Yu ’29, Zoe Robinson ’28, and Sofia Beseth ’26 scored goals for the Brewers. Vassar lost to Williams College, 4-0, in the first round of the NCAA Division III Championships on November 12 on the Williams campus in Williamstown, MA.
