Athletics have always been an important facet of the Vassar experience. In addition to our 23 NCAA Division III varsity teams and four varsity club teams, we offer a robust range of activities for the entire community.
Sunday’s victory, Vassar’s fifth straight, improves it to 16-3 overall on the season. The victory gives Vassar its first ever league title in its fifth appearance in the conference championship final.

The Vassar College Women’s Cross Country saw seven student-athletes earn All-Liberty League status to lead the Brewers to its third straight Liberty League crown at the Liberty League Championship on the campus of St. Lawrence at Ronald C. Hoffman Cross Country Course.
Vassar’s rowing crew recently hosted an Alum Rowing Regatta and Celebration with rowers, coaches, and descendants of Joe Rantz of The Boys in the Boat fame.
The 2024–25 season was historic for Vassar Athletics. The Brewers finished 46th in the Division III Learfield Directors’ Cup, placing in the top 11 percent nationally for the first time. Teams won championships, advanced to national tournaments, and women’s rugby earned its fourth Division II national title. Student-athletes excelled in the classroom, launched the Athletics Hall of Fame, and celebrated major facility upgrades that will boost competition and enhance their experience.
Ten individuals and three teams spanning 150 years of Vassar athletics history were inducted into the College’s first Athletics Hall of Fame class in ceremonies at the Athletics and Fitness Center during Reunion Weekend.
