Vassar’s five new trustees bring a wealth of talent and a wide variety of expertise to the board as they assume four-year terms this fall. They are Maybelle Taylor Bennett ’70, Jon Friedland ’90, P’24; Wendy Holcombe P’28; W. Kimathi Marangu ’88, P’26; and Alex Wei ’97.

Summer internships have long helped Vassar students gain work experience and learn more about possible career paths. Many of these internships are hosted by those in the alum network. We highlight four exciting opportunities that Vassar students engaged with this summer, strengthening their resumes as well as their bonds of the Vassar community.

Barbara Dixon ’69 (née Saslaw) led a remarkable life, excelling as a pioneering force in the finance industry before transitioning to environmental advocacy, where she championed landscape preservation and sustainability. In her honor, her husband, Christopher Dixon, has made a transformative gift to Vassar, supporting the Center for Career Education (CCE) and The Bartlett Center to empower students and alums in their career journeys.
