Seven years in the making, The Vassar Institute for the Liberal Arts officially opened on the weekend of October 25, 2024 with a ribbon cutting ceremony, as well as stimulating speakers and panels that addressed the world of work and the continuing relevance of the liberal arts in tackling global issues.

The College recently hosted a visit by the Tribal Liaison from the Stockbridge-Munsee, whose ancestors were forcibly moved from the land.

Carlos Eduardo Espina ’20—an immigrant rights activist, nonprofit leader, and veteran with 10 million TikTok followers, just added one more accomplishment to his CV—he spoke at the 2024 Democratic National Convention in August.
