Peace activist Jonathan Granoff ’70, who has devoted his professional life to warning of the dangers of nuclear proliferation, came to the Vassar campus to accept the 2023 Alumnae/i Association of Vassar College (AAVC) Distinguished Service Award.
Vassar recently hosted a three-part webinar titled “Innovation in Higher Education: Building Capacity for Inclusive Leadership” that featured conversations with people in the academic and business worlds. All agreed that transforming global society into a more equitable one will require today’s students to engage in a broad, liberal arts education.
Dr. Margaret “Peggy” Hamburg, a nationally recognized public health expert with unique ties to Vassar, will deliver the Commencement address at the 159th graduation exercises May 21.
