Carina Cole ’26

A young person with long dark hair, wearing a white shirt and black vest, smiling slightly against a plain background.

Hi all! My name is Carina Cole (she/her) and I am a senior from Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania. Within media studies, my primary interests lie in post-truth politics and media, as well as the intersection of corporate power and digital media. Outside of MEDS, I love reading and writing; I am Editor-in-Chief of The Miscellany News, and co-Editor-in-Chief of the Vassar Review. I look forward to working with you all!

Yaksha Gummadapu ’26

Young person with long dark hair wearing a pink lace-trimmed camisole and denim shorts, smiling slightly while standing in front of a colorful amusement park mural.

Hi! My name is Yaksha Gummadapu. I grew up in Hyderabad, India, and I’m one of the Media Studies interns. I’m a Media Studies and Political Science double major with a correlate in Economics. Using the flexibility of the MEDS major, I enjoy learning a great deal about writing and how it intersects with various media. I spend most of my time at Vassar in Rocky, in the Loeb, in the Library, or on long walks. I can’t wait to meet all of you and chat your ear off about the department and beyond.
