Juliet Nadis ’21
Monday and Wednesday 10:00-12:00pm
Hi everyone! My name’s Juliet (she/hers), I’m from Cambridge, MA, and I’m one of the IS senior academic interns this year. My IS concentrations are in History and Political Science, but I have also enjoyed taking classes in a range of departments from Geography to Education. Within the IS major, I’m especially interested in human rights, transitional justice, and international relations. I also have a correlate in Hispanic Studies and had the opportunity to study abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina last fall. I will be holding virtual office hours this semester on Monday and Wednesday from 1-3, and I’m happy to answer any questions regarding the IS major, JYA, and more! Please feel free to send me an email at email@example.com with any questions or to set up a time to talk.

Hello! My name is Mari and I am one of the IS interns for this academic year. My IS concentrations are Political Science and History. I am also a German major, a language I started learning at Vassar. As someone who has many academic interests, for the longest time I did not know what I "should" major in. I realized that many of my interests intersected around areas such as language rights and access to education. I have shaped my IS major around these interests, which led me to take classes under various departments. I have connected with a gamut of professors and peers that have each contributed immensely to my understanding of the world. Last year, I studied abroad in Berlin where I not only improved my German language skills but also gained a deeper appreciation for my identity as a first-generation American. My thesis will build upon those intellectual and cultural connections that I made during my time in Berlin.
If you are interested in IS or simply want to connect to discuss research opportunities, the study abroad application process, or language study (besides German I also take Portuguse and am a fluent Spanish speaker) please do not hesitate in contacting me. I would be more than happy to chat and help you with any questions that you might have. I was once in your shoes too! You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
