The Department of Music offers an extensive program encompassing opportunities for majors and non-majors to explore performance, composition, history, and theory in depth.

The department regularly presents concerts, master classes, and workshops by visiting artists and ensembles as well as by members of the faculty. All events are free and open to the college community, and most are also open to the public.
The True North Jazz Project performs original music, jazz standards, world music, and unique interpretations of pop and rock tunes. Featuring Joe North, saxophone; Ryan Cerullo, piano; Buddy Griffith, bass; and Ryan Odell, drums.

Belle Skinner Hall of Music
Home to the Music Department, Skinner houses the Mary Anna Fox Martel Recital Hall, a small chamber concert hall, the music library (with nearly 75,000 books, scores, and sound and visual recordings), an electronic music studio, practice rooms & faculty studios, and historic and modern instrument collections.
