Hi everyone! My name is Jaya Cox, and I’ll be one of the IS interns this year. I would love to connect and support you however I can. My concentrations are in Political Science and English, and I’m also pursuing a Creative Writing correlate. Last spring, I studied abroad at the University of Edinburgh. In addition to being an IS intern, I work at the Center for Career Education. I’ve also previously been on the Executive Boards for the Asian Students’ Alliance and the Vassar Alliance in Foreign Affairs, and I enjoy supporting different orgs. In my free time, I love to read, write, bake, and watch movies. I’m very excited to meet you all! Hello! My name is Sam Evans, and I am one of the international studies academic interns for this school year! I am a senior IS major with concentrations in Political Science and Geography, and I am also pursuing a correlate in Migration & Displacement Studies (which, if you don’t already know, is the correlate for the IS department that you can pursue even if you are an IS major!). Last spring, I studied abroad with the Vassar-Wesleyan Madrid program and had an AMAZING time. Besides loving all things international, political, and geographical, I also write fiction, love to cook, read always and everywhere, and collect records & CDs. On campus, I am the co-president of Indecent Exposure stand-up comedy and have been very involved in student theater (especially Rocky Horror) while at Vassar. Before being an IS intern, I worked for three years at the Loeb Art Center as a docent and think the museum is the absolute best place on campus.
