Parents & Families
Welcome Vassar Families
We’re here to support students at every step along the way. Students thrive when they are challenged intellectually, supported personally, and connected to a community that values their well-being.
As a residential liberal arts college, we are committed to helping students grow into thoughtful, engaged, and resilient individuals while providing the resources, guidance, and care they need along the way. Families are important partners in that journey. Together, we can ensure that your student feels empowered to explore, learn, and make the most of their Vassar experiences.
—Elizabeth H. Bradley, President, Vassar College and Professor of Political Science and of Science, Technology, and Society
A Message from Dean of the College, Carlos Alamo-Pastrana
Beloved Vassar Families,
Vassar is a campus where belonging is not an aspiration but a daily practice. We support students as whole people—mind, body, and spirit. We ask them to stretch, to question, to create, and we surround them with the people, resources, and relationships that help them do so with dignity and support.
Thank you for the ongoing trust you place in us. I hope to meet you at Families Weekend September 25–27, 2026.
