From the tennis courts behind Josselyn House, to far-flung corners of the globe, June Ross Marks ’49 has embraced a life of curiosity, determination, and generosity. Her Vassar experience opened doors she never imagined, doors she would later hold open for others through her loyal volunteer service to the College and the June Ross Marks ’49 Travel Fund.
A naturally curious alum, Phyllis Klaus ’57, P’82, played a key role in starting the modern doula movement, combining research with a lot of heart. From her days taking childhood development classes at Vassar to her early work in Guatemala—and earning her doctorate in psychology in her 80s—she has remained committed to learning and supporting others.
After 50 years of service, Vassar’s longest-running Class Correspondent, Marian Heath Mundy ’51, is putting down her pen. We salute her fierce dedication and the levity she has brought to Class Notes.
Alice Belgray ’59 sings in The Brearley Singers Choir, as she has for the last 28 years, and is a part of the Children’s Book Committee at Bank Street College of Education.
At 98 years old, Jan Farrington ’46, née Gucker, spends her summers where she has since she was in utero: at Camp Whippoorwill in the northeastern Adirondacks.
