Tom Heuser ’05

Conductor Thomas Heuser ’05 has been widely recognized for his stirring leadership and energetic presence both onstage and in the community. He serves as Music Director of the Idaho Falls Symphony in Idaho Falls, Idaho, as well as the San Juan Symphony, an innovative regional orchestra based in Durango, Colorado, and Farmington, New Mexico, that serves the Four Corners.

Michael Sheetz ’07

Conductor Michael Sheetz ’07 is an Assistant Professor and Director of Choral and Voice Studies at Hunter College of the City University of New York, where he teaches privately and directs the College Choir and select Chamber Singers ensembles.

As Assistant Music Director of Musica Sacra, New York City’s longest continuously performing professional choral ensemble, Michael conducts, prepares, and accompanies in performance at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. As Music Associate at the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola on Park Avenue, Michael performs in the acclaimed Concerts at St. Ignatius music series and conducts two Sunday mass choirs. Michael is a resident faculty member of Classic Lyric Arts, a summer training program for emerging vocal and keyboard artists in Novafeltria, Italy. Recently Michael began a tenure as Music Director of The Greenwich Village Chamber Singers, a 35-40 voiced advanced avocational chorus that performs a three-concert season in the heart of New York City. Michael has performed at Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall, and his pianism has been featured in numerous live broadcasts on WQXR and Vermont Public Radio. He has taught on the faculties of Vassar College, The Juilliard School, and the United Nations International School, and has played for many internationally renowned conductors. Michael holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Choral Conducting from Manhattan School of Music. He is a graduate of Vassar College and he resides in New York City with his wife, Diana, and son, Jamie.
