Botanical Dreams Workshop for Upstate Art Weekend

Location: Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center

Inspired by the exhibition, The Botanist at Vassar, the Loeb Art Center is proud to partner with Nature’s Impact to present a hands-on workshop with artist Serena Domingues. Guests will engage in a guided experience where they observe botanical forms and sculpt their own imagined flower. This activity is designed for visitors ages 7 and up. No pre-registration is required; simply drop in anytime between 5:00–6:45 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public.

Serena is a multidisciplinary artist known for Botanical Dreams, a series of oversized floral sculptures that explore the beauty, scale, and mystery of nature. Her work blurs the boundary between observer and observed, proposing that plants are not passive subjects but participants in a longer, slower conversation about life. Serena is the founder of Nature’s Impact, which brings people closer to nature through creative art workshops, hands-on environmental education, and garden design projects that foster care, awareness, and environmental stewardship. They create experiences that connect communities to nature through learning, making, and garden-based engagement. To learn more about their events and services, visit www.naturesimpact.org or follow them on social media @naturesimpact.

This event is part of Upstate Art Weekend, an annual event that brings together artists, organizations, and audiences across the Hudson Valley and Catskills, inviting exploration of exhibitions, programs, and cultural spaces throughout the region.
