Vassar students in Hawaii developed resources to help immigrants there acclimate themselves to their new communities. Meanwhile, a student from Kenya secured funding for new water systems for schools in a Kenyan village. Both initiatives were funded through the 100 Projects for Peace program.

President Elizabeth H. Bradley and Peter Mathieson, Principal and Vice Chancellor of the University of Edinburgh (Scotland), have laid the groundwork for mutually beneficial collaboration between the two institutions—the third such global partnership Bradley has established.

The fourth Brewer Fund Challenge, which kicks of October 6, will continue to fund equipment and programs that benefit all Vassar student-athletes.

Convocation officially kicked off the academic year on August 31. The Convocation address, “How I Got Medieval: From First Gen to PhD,” was delivered by Professor of History Nancy Bisaha.

Ford Scholar Carissa Kolcun’s keen interest in the works of art created at the Women’s Studio Workshop will be on display this fall at an exhibition they curated in the Loeb’s Spotlight Gallery.  

One retired and two current Vassar professors hosted a webinar on June 29 to discuss the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision.

Jonathan Littman ’85, Chief Executive Producer of Jerry Bruckheimer Television, talked to a gathering of Vassar students about his life in the entertainment industry and offered some career advice.

Led by the Black Students’ Union, members of the Vassar community gathered on a chilly April afternoon to dedicate the Garden to Celebrate Black Lives on the Vassar campus.

Five members of Vassar’s Engaged Pluralism community co-taught a course on storytelling called “Communities Are Critical.” The multimedia exhibit that was created by the class is on display in the Campus Center.
