The Vassar Fund Scholars Program is a special opportunity to experience the impact of an endowed scholarship fund through simple annual contributions.

Vassar is committed to meeting 100 percent of the full demonstrated financial need of all of its admitted students for all four years of their liberal arts education journey. In keeping with Matthew Vassar’s tradition, the College today awards scholarships to “students of character and ability who, without such help, would be unable to continue their college course.” This ensures that students can get the most out of their education without worrying about how they’re going to afford it. To be able to offer the best financial aid options possible for our students, Vassar relies on the generosity of donors.

The Vassar Fund Scholars Program is a unique opportunity for donors to make their mark on a student’s educational journey. With a gift of $10,000 to support Financial Aid, you will be included in the Vassar Fund Scholars Program, and receive an annual report highlighting our amazing students whose lives you have touched with your generosity. Additionally, if you commit to giving $10,000 annually for five years, you can name one of these special annual scholarship funds.

Annually, Vassar awards over $73 million in scholarships to its students, comprising 93 percent of the aid students receive from various sources. It’s a tradition dating back to the 1870s when alums of the College, the Board of Trustees, and Matthew Vassar himself gifted funds to the College so students could reach their full potential.

These scholarships are still made possible thanks to the generosity of alums, families, and friends of Vassar. The Vassar Fund Scholars Program will continue that tradition and ensure that students receive the cutting-edge liberal arts education Vassar has to offer.
