Donor Instructions:

  • designation of the gift
  • broker’s name and phone number

Bank/Broker Instructions:

  • Transfer notes must include the donor’s full name and gift designation information, or gift details must be provided to Vassar’s Gifts Department at giftaccounts@vassar.edu or (800) 443-8196.

Make a Qualified Charitable Distribution via an IRA

Contact your IRA custodian to obtain directions about how to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA directly to Vassar College. To ensure proper crediting and acknowledgement for tax purposes, please notify our gifts department of your QCD, including the name of the account custodian, amount and designation of the gift, at giftaccounts@vassar.edu or (800) 443-8196. Checks should be made payable to Vassar College and when sent, be accompanied by your name and address.
