Qi Ge

Qi Ge is an applied microeconomist whose research interests span industrial organization, behavioral economics, labor economics, and sports economics. His recent work examines competition dynamics in the airline and sports industries as well as labor market outcomes in academia and professional sports. His research has appeared in journals such as American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, and Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, and has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Economist, NPR, and The Telegraph.
Professor Ge is a coauthor of Industrial Organization: Theory and Practice (6th ed.), a leading undergraduate textbook in industrial organization, and currently serves as a co-editor of Economic Inquiry. At Vassar, he teaches Introduction to Economics, Big Ideas in Economics, Sports Economics, and Industrial Organization.
