The Vassar Community has always been on the forefront of emerging issues. At any given time, students, faculty, and alumnae/i can be found running toward and not from difficult issues. So it is with racial injustice and COVID-19. They are treating the sick and dying while trying to protect their own families, researching health-care disparities illuminated by the virus, documenting racial violence in the Jim-Crow South, calling for justice after deaths at the hands of police, and more.
