Pushing Boundaries

Members of the Vassar community have always expanded the boundaries of their respective fields. We take a look at five individuals who are behind notable innovations—an accidental artist redefining the genre of portraiture, a family doctor driving healthcare innovation, two entrepreneurs exploring new approaches to clean energy, and a physics professor who aims to make technology cheaper and more environmentally friendly by using the tricks of Mother Nature.

The Doctor on a Medical Mission

Dr. Jeffrey Brenner '90 is driving healthcare innovation and a leading advocate of "hotspotting" to improve patient care while reducing costs.
