Live and Work in Asia 2002-03

Vassar has been invited to nominate two alumnae/i to a field from which 18 individuals will be awarded Luce Fellowships to study in Asia.

The Luce Scholars Program provides stipends and internships for 18 young Americans to live and work in Asia each year. The program’s purpose is to increase awareness of Asia among future leaders in American society. Those who already have significant experience in Asia or Asian studies are not eligible. Candidates must be American citizens who have received at least a bachelor’s degree and are no more than 29 years old on September 1 at the beginning of the program. Nominees should have a record of high achievement, outstanding leadership ability, and a clearly defined career interest with evidence of potential for professional accomplishment.

The deadline for applications to be received by Vassar’s Office of Preprofessional Advising and Fellowships is November 15, 2001.
