Inspired Addition: Vassar's Library

With its high-tech information resources, bright and airy study spaces, convenient and expansive reserve and periodicals rooms, and a new home for the Vassar College Archives and Special Collections, the Martha Rivers and E. Bronson Ingram Library — the newly minted addition to the Vassar College Libraries — was a popular and much used academic center even before its official dedication in May.

Commitment to Community: An Interview with Fran Fergusson

If you haven’t visited Vassar in a while, the first thing you’ll notice is that the grass is literally greener. Amble around campus, and you’ll encounter well-maintained benches placed at thoughtful intervals, perfect for contemplation and procrastination.

Commencement 2001: America's Bogeyman Sets a Shining Example

The sun shone. The weather was balmy. Families, from newborns to grandparents, dressed nattily. Daisies were everywhere. Just the right number of geese — six — swam in Sunset Lake below the assembled cap-and-gown crowd.

Reunion 2001

On a rainy weekend in June, the Class of 1951 had much to celebrate.
