A Senior Gift Scholarship was established in 2022 by the families of Vassar’s graduating seniors celebrating their students’ accomplishments. Since then, each graduating class and their families have continued the tradition of creating and funding a scholarship honoring their class. Every fall, the scholarship is awarded to an incoming first-year student, creating a meaningful connection between the new students and the class that came before them.

Today, approximately two-thirds of Vassar students receive financial aid, and the College is committed to meeting 100 percent of a student’s demonstrated financial need for all four years. Since the tradition began, nearly $600,000 has been raised across all graduating classes, helping make a world-class liberal arts education possible for incoming first years.

Because the Senior Gift scholarship is awarded in-full each year, its impact relies on the ongoing support of each graduating class and their families. With your gift, the Class of 2027 Scholarship can continue to open the door to a Vassar education for incoming students, creating a lasting legacy that reflects your class’s generosity and dedication to future generations.

Every gift matters—whether it's a one-time donation or a multi-year commitment.
